new hat for K
I knit a new hat for K today. I know I had a no new project rule until I finished my broken projects but I needed something to do for 3 hours while I got my hair cut and colored. And K lost her hat this week (that I made, argh), and she really needs a hat! It came out really cute. It's like a dusty rose color (Plymouth Encore Worsted) with 2 stripes of a lighter pink which I sized using Fibonacci numbers (because I'm a big geek). I was going to rib the whole thing but ribbing was annoying me today so after 12 rows I switched to plain stockinette. It looks cool and she likes it.

Two days ago I finished my 2nd fingerless glove. Now I've got a wearable pair. Go me.

Next up, I'll probably fix the tiny error on my Wyvern sock so I have *something* to knit when the urge hits and start frogging the orange/pink vest.

Fingerless gloves -- awesome!

I am closing in on finishing a pair of rib and cable socks (last cable completed on 2nd sock, just the toe to go). I think my current project is, finish the other 3 socks that will make 3 complete pairs.

And, I didn't get my Olympics yarn in time, so tonight I've started knitting a "Syncopated Ribs" sweater from the leftover Jo Sharp Silkroad Aran, which will mean eventual frogging of the old cable sweater that doesn't fit...

Hi there!
Hey Tine,
Just wanted to let you know that in an effort to be more accessible to some online friends, I joined the LiveJournal a few days ago. I hope I can keep up on it. We'll see. Stop by sometime!

Oh yeah - I made fingerless gloves/wrist warmers in December for myself & Isabella. I should have made more in more colors because we're wearing them constantly. She likes her fingers to be free like I do. I've been working on crocheting a summer top for my cousin. It's taking me for freaking ever because of the studio opening and because I'm still new to reading crochet directions.

Re: Hi there!
hi hi hi! I friended you so that you can be bored by my constant ramblings like everyone else on my friends list!

I like my fingerless gloves OK, except I should have made the wrist section a bit shorter. I want to make another pair but with sock-weight yarn so they're not so bulky...

Re: Hi there!
good idea! Mine were done in scrap Encore worsted weight, so they're really soft, but also really bulky. I'm glad to have them at all in this kind of freezing, sleeting weather we're having. And they took no time to make too. I bet they'd look really slick though if they were thinner.
